Dr. Sheila Clark

Dr. Sheila is the Practice Development Lead for Enayati and has over 30 years of healthcare experience in clinical, academic and senior management positions in Canada and Middle East. Most recently she has spent the last four years teaching at the University of Calgary Qatar (UCQ) to provide nursing education at the Baccalaureate level for the local Arab population.

Her many years working in the Middle East as a staff nurse through to Director of Nursing have provided her with cultural sensitivity which can only be garnered by experience in the region. Prior to UCQ, she was employed as the DON for Interhealth Canada (ICL), and led the clinical commissioning efforts at the Dasman Center for Research and Treatment of Diabetes in Kuwait. Additionally, she has completed a Masters inHealth Care Management through the University of Wales Swansea, UK and is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Education program through the University of Calgary, Canada with an expected date of completion in 2014.

Over the course of her career, she has participated in many and varied health related endeavors. Most recently whilst working in Qatar with the Qatar Diabetes Association and the Michener Institute in Canada as a representative of UCQ, she worked closely with these partners to bring an accredited Diabetes Educators Certificate course to Qatar. Sheila has also published with the International Journal of Nursing Education Scholarship and with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.

Ms. Rosemary Hood

Ms. Rosemary Hood chairs the Quality and Governance Committee of the Board bringing more than 30 years of hospital administration experience in the UK, where she has led accreditation processes, operational reviews and organizational restructuring across the UK NHS.

Rosemary has also worked for governmental and non-governmental agencies in the commissioning of hospital services and developmental work and famine relief. Regional experience include Africa, the Middle East and 5 years in the GCC; Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates.

Rosemary holds an undergraduate and Master’s Degree in Law and is a specialized legal expert witness in obstetrics, gynecological and clinical governance. She has participated in both criminal and civil proceedings in the field of healthcare and is also an honorary lecturer at Queens University and University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, providing instruction in Nursing and the Law.
